The BC1124 IQV charger typically takes 60 to 80 minutes to fully charge a 20V IQV battery. Specific charging times depend on the battery’s capacity: BL2012 (2.5 Ah) takes approximately 60 minutes, while the BL2022 (5.0 Ah) takes approximately ~80 minutes to fully charge.

Yes, we offer a dual‑voltage charger called the BC1221 which is designed for both IQV12 (12V) and IQV20 (20V) batteries. It supports both voltage platforms, so no separate charger is needed and features dual bays, allowing you to charge two batteries at the same time.

The intelligent BMS in every IQV® battery allows the battery to communicate directly with the tool and charger, providing triple protection against overloading, overcharging, and over-discharging. This active protection extends the life of both the battery and the tool, maintains consistent power output throughout the charge cycle, and reduces the risk of thermal runaway — a critical safety feature for professional environments. The BMS is a genuine OEM advantage: third-party replacement batteries may not offer this level of tool-integrated protection. 

Ingersoll Rand’s IQV warranty policy provides tiered coverage. A 1‑year warranty covers tools, batteries, and chargers against defects, offering free replacement (including shipping and labor) after evaluation by authorized service centers; prepaid shipping is available. A 2‑year warranty applies to high‑capacity batteries (2Ah/4Ah+), providing the same defect coverage and free replacement. A 3‑year limited warranty covers tools and chargers, with repair or replacement at Ingersoll Rand’s discretion. All warranties exclude abuse, normal wear, improper maintenance, accidents, unauthorized repairs, and products from unauthorized sellers. Consequential or incidental damages are not covered, and rights may vary by state and local applicable laws.
